Sara Southard
Children's Ministry Director
Sara recently joined the staff at Covenant in March of 2022. As Children’s Ministry Director, she oversees the operations of the nursery (newborn – 3-year-olds) and children’s ministry (PreK - 5th grade), including recruiting and equipping volunteers, planning and managing events, and making sure the babies and children of the church, as well as their parents, feel at home, supported, and loved. She even decorates the occasional bulletin board (a leftover habit from her days as an elementary school teacher)! As a career teacher and mother of a 4-year-old and an infant, the children’s ministry is close to her heart. Kids and parents alike are welcome to stop by her office to check out some books and resources, spend some time coloring, play a game, or just sip some coffee and chat!
