The 2026 fall Sunday School semester is from August 23 to December 13. We will have two Sundays that will deviate from our regular schedule. On October 4, we will have a special presentation from our Youth Missions team for our combined Adult classes, and on December 6 we will have our Congregational Meeting. Please get in touch with the church office if you have any additional questions not covered in the list of classes.

• NEWBORN TO 24 MONTHS: Led by Bekah Gernhard | Nursery - Room 110
  • The nursery is located on the main floor at the end of the lobby hall and offers a safe and playful place for our precious children. Monitored by both CPC member volunteers and paid, CPR and first aid-trained workers, the nursery is secured by an electronic check-in system and a single entrance/exit.

• 2 & 3 YEAR-OLDS: Led by Millie Sanders, Lauren Warren, and Babs Leach | Nursery - Room 110
  
  • Children learn stories and truths from God’s Word, sing songs, color pictures, and enjoy games and activities related to the Bible lesson. They also eat a snack and play outside in an enclosed courtyard. Our children’s curriculum is published by Great Commission Publications.
• 4 YEAR-OLDS TO GRADE 5: Led by Volunteer Teachers | Rooms 126, 220-228
  • Children learn stories and truths from God’s Word. They may participate in singing, discussions, crafts, and activities related to the Bible lesson. All children have snacks. Our 4-year-old – 4th-grade children’s curriculum is the Show Me Jesus curriculum published by Great Commission Publications. 5th grade is working through a curriculum study on the names of God published by Truth:78.

  • Preparation for Membership: The 6th-grade class will focus on building a strong foundation of knowledge and understanding of Scripture, salvation, the sacraments, and the functions of the church.
• 7th & 8th GRADE GUYS & GIRLS: Led by Thomas Blackburn and Emily Calloway | Room 126
  • This class is studying through the Shorter Catechism through Great Commission Publications' "Digging Deeper Volume 2" catechism study.
• HIGH SCHOOL: Led by Travis Hutchinson, Heather Morrison, Justin Martin, and Diane Lazor | Room 200 
  • The High School students will study a survey of the Old Testament. We will be digging into creation, law, history, poetry, and the Prophets. This will be a two-semester series. All grades 9-12 meet together.
    
    

• WHAT IS PRESBYTERIAN?: Led by Pastor Bill Massey | Room 119 
  • Our What Is Presbyterian? class is an ongoing course of study designed for those who wish to learn more about CPC. This class addresses our distinctive life, doctrine, and worship as a conservative, Presbyterian, and Reformed church. Taught by our Pastor of Discipleship, this is a temporary class until you find your long-term Sunday school class.

• COLLEGE/CAREER CLASS: Led by Calvin & Hannah Ingram  | Room 208
  • Our Study is: Ecclesiastes - The book of Ecclesiastes presents us with a frank assessment of the world in its fallen state, and the God-given joy we can still find. The author takes us along with the preacher’s experiments and reflections as he wrestles with problems sin has created with pleasure, work, relationships, and more.
• ECCLESIASTES: Led by Jon Harris | Rooms 121-122
  • Ecclesiastes reveals our lack of control over our lives. The true meaning of a good life is found in the hope for God’s judgment that will destroy evil and bring justice. This hope fuels a life of honesty and integrity, despite life’s mysteries. This is a mixed adult class open to everyone.
• LADIES CLASS: Led by Judy Foster, Christine Morrison, and Lois Crenshaw | Room 119
  • The book of Zechariah - Zechariah invites us to look above the chaos and hope for God’s Kingdom to come, motivating faithfulness in the present moment. That’s the challenge Zechariah offers to all generations of God’s people. This is a ladies-only class.
• PROVERBS: Led by Ken Henry | Room 100 (Schum Fellowship Hall) 
  • The book of Proverbs is linked to Solomon and other wise men and includes hundreds of short, clever sayings designed to teach us how to live and act wisely. Each saying touches on a common area of life and shows us what it looks like to live well in God’s good world. This is a mixed adult class open to everyone.
• REVELATION: Led by Dr. Lamar Allen | Room 105 (Frederick Room)
  •  This will be a multi-semester study of the book of Revelation - 22 chapters, 404 verses. Revelation is often regarded as a challenging book. We will intend to unravel complexities to the extent we can. As always, there will be ample time for questions and discussions. Join us for a trip through this important book of the Bible. This is a mixed adult class open to everyone. 
• WE BELIEVE (This Too): Led by Dee Hobbs | Room 150 (Choir Room)
  • The Ancient Creeds and the Christian Life Today - this study follows up our sermon series on the Apostles' Creed by exploring the Nicene and Athanasian Creeds and the Definition of Chalcedon - the controversies that shaped them, the biblical truths they defended, and why they still matter. This is a mixed adult class open to everyone.
