Jay and I have been married for over 30 years. We have four ‘kids’ who are now in college or even older. Two of them are married now - so crazy how time flies!

I grew up here in Chattanooga and went to Fort Worth, Texas for college. After Jay and I were married we lived in Colorado where I taught in a private Christian school. We then lived in Florida before moving to middle Tennessee. In 2001 Jay accepted a position with FCA in Chattanooga. I was very surprised after so many years away that we ended up back here! I stayed home to raise our children and actually ended up teaching them. God did quite a work on my heart to change me from a success-oriented, career-driven young lady into a homeschooling mother of four.

I was raised in a Christian home and was always active in church life. No matter where I’ve lived, I’ve been involved in a local church serving especially through singing or teaching Bible studies. After being involved in many areas here at CPC, it is a blessing to be helping on the staff side. I am happy to be using any abilities God has given me to work on editing and publishing for the good of our members.

I love being outside. (Unless it’s cold!) Currently, you might find me on a pickleball court, digging in the dirt, hiking the beautiful area trails, or just sitting in the sun reading. I have way too many books, but I have always enjoyed reading and learning about almost any topic. And I love to eat! especially another culture’s food.
