I met my wife, Sarah, at a Bible study I was co-leading in 2008, and in 2010, we were married. Since then, we have been blessed with two rambunctious and loving boys, Jackson and Lucas. Sarah is a teacher at Belvoir Christian Academy, where both of our boys attend school.

I grew up in East Ridge, Tennessee. I attended The Lutheran School for grade school and East Ridge High School. As a youth, I was very active in our church, which I believe led me to a calling to serve youth professionally in the Lutheran Church. I attended college at Concordia University in Nebraska, where I received my certification as a Director of Christian Education (DCE). I served as a DCE for 15 years in both Texas and Kansas City, Missouri. Since my time in professional church work, I have worked in non-profit jobs, always seeking to put my faith into action.

I served the church professionally for 15 years as a DCE. I taught Bible studies, planned youth service trips, and coordinated VBS, among other things. Since then, I have enjoyed the opportunity to serve in other capacities as a volunteer, usher, and elder. Currently, our family worships and serves at First Lutheran Church in Chattanooga.

Until mid-summer hits (the HEAT!), Chattanooga is a great place for all of my interests! I enjoy hiking, kayaking, watching Tennessee football and finding adventurous experiences for my family.
