Stephen and I celebrated our 20th anniversary in 2021. We have been blessed with five children. Our first four kids were boys: James, Etienne, Sebastien, and Christian, and we were thrilled to welcome our daughter Caroline as the fifth child in our family. Steve stays busy at his contracting and roofing business, while I work three days a week in the kitchen at church and homeschool our kids.

I was born in Pasadena, California but grew up in Tacoma, Washington where my mother’s family lived. My dad was in the restaurant industry and I developed an early passion for baking and cooking. I never remember a time when serving the church was not a dominant feature of my life and the life of my family. I never remember a day when I was not God’s child. I spent a year abroad in France with friends after high school where I was surprised to find myself falling in love with a Frenchman! We were married two years later as students at Covenant College in Georgia and both graduated with music degrees. We have lived in Chattanooga for the most part, ever since.

Steve and I were drawn to Covenant Presbyterian about ten years ago by the excellent music ministry as well as the vibrant children’s programs and weekly hospitality. Having grown up in the restaurant industry and continued my pursuit of all things culinary, I was offered the job of kitchen services coordinator several years ago and have enjoyed all the planning, shopping, and cooking for both Wednesday night dinners and many other kitchen events ever since.

Apart from my love of cooking and singing, I also do a lot of other crafting projects at home, predominately sewing. When I have the time, I run a small Etsy shop, making heirloom dolls and other custom projects for people. I love gardening and with homeschooling my children, my life is busy and full!
