Travis and Kimberly have been married for 30 years and have three boys: George, Paul, and Jon Michael. Travis is a native Texan and Kimberly grew up all over the world in a military family. Kimberly is a CPA with an MBA in finance and works in wealth management.

Travis grew up in a church-attending family in a mainline denomination that was not Bible-believing and was a “troubled youth” with deep emotional and spiritual struggles.  He came to faith in Jesus Christ while working for a non-profit drug intervention program in Corpus Christi.

After attending seminary, he served for 13 years as the pastor of Highlands Presbyterian Church and then 10 years as the Upper School Chaplain at Chattanooga Christian School. His ministry has been a blend of teaching (the truth of the Gospel) and counseling (the grace of Jesus Christ). Travis has a BA in Biblical Studies (Covenant), an MDiv (Beeson), and an STM in Primitive Church Theology (Sewanee). He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Christian Counseling. In addition to pastoral work at Covenant Presbyterian, Travis is a pastoral counselor and consultant with Watershed, a division of ElbowTree Counseling.

Travis is a lifelong waterman, who grew up on a lake, moved to an ocean, and now spends as much time at the sea, lake, river, and creek as he possibly can. He founded Chattanooga’s only school surfing program and is a tournament bass fisherman.
