Reformed University Fellowship at UTC

Background:

Davis was born and raised in the Chattanooga area. He attended NC State University where he got involved with RUF as a student. Soon after graduation in 2014, Davis met Hannah (their first date was Clumpies on the Walnut St. Bridge in Chattanooga), and they were married during Davis’s second year as an RUF intern at Virginia Tech. Hannah is from Nashville and graduated from Samford University. In 2016 the Mooneys moved to St. Louis, and Davis graduated from Covenant Seminary. They then moved to Winston-Salem, NC where Davis served as the Pastor for Students & Families at Hope Presbyterian Church for 4 years. Davis and Hannah have two boys. They love taking walks and hikes together as a family, trying new restaurants, and enjoying good meals with friends. The Mooneys are so excited to get back to Tennessee and be a part of RUF at UTC!

Ministry:

Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) is a campus ministry that reaches college students from all backgrounds with the hope of Jesus Christ. College is a time when beliefs are explored, decisions are made, and lives are changed. Through the ministry of RUF, students discover the love of Christ, find their significance in God’s redemptive story, and engage in the life of His church. All students are welcome to RUF at UTC, regardless of personal or religious background. We welcome the "convinced" and "unconvinced" and invite all students, no matter where they are, to RUF as we consider the truth claims of Christianity together.

We want RUF to be a place where a student can come with questions, find fellowship with others, worship God, serve others, and grow in their knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ and His work on their behalf.

Prayer Requests:

  • for students who already know the Lord to grow in their faith
  • for unbelievers to hear and believe the Gospel
  • for our ministry and relationships to be built on campus
