Title: “God: Infinite & Eternal”
Text: Genesis 1.1
Intro: While all of us are immortal (we will spend eternity somewhere!), only God is eternal. As creatures who dwell in time, eternality is very difficult to imagine. We all have a beginning, God has neither a beginning nor an end. We live in time, God dwells in eternity. Knowing how hard this is for us to understand, God still emphasizes his eternality in Scripture. Why does he do this? Because knowledge of God as infinite and eternal is deeply comforting and brings us spiritual benefit.
