Sermon Intro: How great is our joy! Jesus is not only risen from the dead, he has also ascended into heaven. There, with our names engraved upon his hands and etched in his wounds, as verse 24 says, “he appears in the presence of God on our behalf.” God knows those who are Christ’s. He loves them as his children. He hears them when they pray. And that makes all the difference in the world when we are tried, tempted, and discouraged.
