Covenant Presbyterian Church strives to express the biblical idea of a "covenant" by teaching even our youngest members how to worship and the significance of being part of the church body.
We do not offer a separate Sunday morning worship service for children. We believe worshipping together is spiritual nourishment, and this is true, not just for adults and youth, but for our "Little Theologians" as well.
Our elders, pastors, and musicians consider how children experience a worship service at Covenant. We think about this in terms of the sermons, the words of the worship service, the music, and the length of the service.
We understand children can sometimes be an interruption in a worship service. Whether or not we are parents, it is good for each of us to encourage and be patient with all of our fellow worshippers.
Parents, if this is challenging for your family, if your children need to ease into this practice, or if you are having a particularly difficult morning (sometimes Sunday is the hardest day of the week for parents of young children), we have a safe nursery for children (up to 36 months) during the worship service. There is also a soundproof room on the right side of the sanctuary. This room also has an adjacent restroom, as well as, a private room for nursing mothers.
CPC's Nursery offers care for healthy children up to 36 months during both morning worship, as well as, the Sunday School hour. Our nursery is located at the end of the hall off of the Welcome Center Lobby and is equipped with an electronic check-in system.
