Background:

Volunteers in Medicine, Chattanooga, Inc. (VIM Chattanooga) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) faith-based primary care clinic. Volunteer physicians and nurses provide free medical services to financially eligible adults who are uninsured. The mission of the VIM Chattanooga Clinic is to understand and serve the health and wellness needs of the medically underserved in our community by providing quality, compassionate, and personalized care in a caring faith-based environment. Our patients are why we exist. And every person we serve, be a patient or a volunteer, is worth the care we give.

Ministry:

VIM seeks to see neighbors who may have been overlooked, with practical expressions of Christian love to aid those needing compassion, wisdom, and skill to alleviate suffering. The VIM primary care clinic is open three days a week, Monday - Wednesday. Clinic services are by appointment only. Through its volunteer licensed medical professionals, VIM provides primary and preventive care to eligible patients; at no cost. VIM also helps eligible patients obtain needed medications and advanced care. Services include: preventative and acute care, management of some chronic medical conditions, health maintenance, specialty referral, Health Education Nutrition and Dietary Counseling, physical therapy, and prescription drug assistance.
